Providence, RI day 1

 Hi all,

I strongly suggest going on unplanned adventures.  We knew we needed to be near Providence for my fiancé's work, and we thought we'd rather an airBnB than the Omni, though that hotel is lovely.  Other than that, we'd looked at winter beach rentals, the Omni, and a few airbnbs (one that had charging for our EV which was cool), but hadn't found anything that really grabbed us.  So, on Christmas, she booked this little one near the Brown campus.  It's spacious everywhere but the shower, clean, bright and well decorated.  Really, all we could want in a little spot to hang our hats for a few days.

We decided to walk to lunch instead of driving, which amounted to about a mile each way.  We originally set out in search of Thai, and came up with this:

However, along the way we started seeing other options - things we might not have at home, like hot pot, Indian and a spot that let you pick your own ingredients to have the chef make them.  All pretty neat, but we settled on Indian, here:

It was amazing.  We asked the waiter his suggestions, having decided on lamb and shrimp, and he recommended the mogwai (spelling) flavored shrimp and a lamb whose name I can't recall at the moment.  It was awe inspiring food though.  We got an app from the specials list, naan with cilantro and garlic, and a pitcher of margaritas.  I definitely would give it 5 stars, and we'd never have found it without taking a chance and walking around the area instead of relying solely on google maps.

Anyway, so far our semi-accidental adventure has been great.  While she was working, I tried to sort out her Audi E-tron (it still isn't allowing us access to the app), charged it to 100% in about half an hour for free, got a haircut and browsed Newbury Comics.
